Alternative Investments
Alternative (or non-traditional) investments may include hedge funds, private equity, real estate, natural resources, managed futures, or other real assets. Often structured as private partnerships and available only to qualified investors, alternative investments offer their managers the flexibility to employ a broad range of investment strategies that are not generally available to traditional equity or fixed income managers.
