KELLY ALLISON
Managing Director - Accounting & Finance
Kelly Allison has overseen the financial affairs of investment advisors and real estate businesses for over 10 years. Immediately before joining Freestone in 2009, she spent four years as a Vice President and Portfolio Controller with a large institutional real estate investment advisor in Seattle. For the previous seven years, Kelly was the Chief Financial Officer for a high net worth family - managing all financial aspects of the family’s real estate portfolio, including acquisition, development, financing, property management, and dispositions - after working four years as the CFO and Controller for a $350 million (assets) privately-owned real estate company. Ms. Allison received a BA, cum laude, in accounting from the University of Puget Sound in 1991, and an MS degree in Taxation from Golden Gate University in 1995. Ms. Allison is a licensed CPA in the State of Washington.
JANICE GREENE, IACCPsm
Managing Director - Chief Compliance Officer
Janice Greene began her investment career in the securities industry with a small broker dealer over 20 years ago. She has experience in trading, sales, operations and compliance. She spent 9 years as a broker, moving to the operations and compliance side in 1995. She came to Freestone in 2002 from a mid size regional broker dealer where she was Director of Compliance. She has extensive expertise in trading, operations, client service and compliance. Her unique and broad based skill set is an asset to Freestone in navigating the complicated regulatory environment that exists for wealth managers today. Janice earned her degree in Business Economics from Colorado State University. She also holds the designation of Investment Advisor Certified Compliance Professional. She was the Founder and President of the Seattle Metro Chapter of Financial Women International, Inc. Outside of Freestone, Janice enjoys cycling, spending time with her two teenage daughters and the family dog Buddy.
JENNIFER MORELAND
Director - Tax & Accounting
Jennifer joined Freestone in 2001 after spending three years at Arthur Andersen in their tax department. Jennifer has undergraduate degrees from the University of Washington in Psychology and Business Administration, and obtained a Masters in Professional Accounting and Taxation. Her volunteer activities include Invest in Youth tutoring and Big Brothers Big Sisters, and in her spare time she enjoys golf, snowboarding and tennis.
JUSTIN YOUNG, CAIA
Director - Alternative Investments, Operations
Justin began his career as an auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers working almost exclusively in its financial services practice in the San Francisco and Seattle offices. During his tenure as a CPA at PricewaterhouseCoopers, he serviced a broad range of clients including hedge funds, venture capital funds, mutual funds, broker-dealers, investment banks and registered investment advisors. Justin holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation. He is a Magna Cum Laude graduate from the University of Notre Dame where earned a BBA in Accounting and Japanese. Justin spends his leisure time enjoying various sports including golf and basketball, traveling, and creating new recipes in the kitchen for family and friends.
MEGHAN LOSK
Director - Alternative Investments, Operations
Meghan joined Freestone in 2003 following a number of years with a Seattle-based financial planning group. She began her Freestone career as part of our client advisory group and in 2005 transitioned to our Alternative Investment Team. Currently, Meghan serves as Director of Alternative Investment Operations and is primarily responsible for fund operations and compliance as well as investor relations. Meghan earned her degree from the University of Portland and is currently pursuing the Investment Advisor Certified Compliance Professional (IACCPsm) designation. She is a lifetime member of Financial Women International, a member of 100 Women in Hedge Funds and currently serves as the Lead Event Coordinator for the Seattle Alternative Investment Association. Outside of Freestone, she enjoys a variety of outdoor activities with her husband, volunteering in the community, and cheering on her favorite sports teams.
KENNETH AITKEN
Director - Information Technology
Ken Aitken brings over 20 years of managing information systems to Freestone Capital Management. Prior to joining Freestone, Ken was a Senior Vice President and Managing Director of IT for Laird Norton Financial Group. Along with being on the Audit committee, Ken was responsible for strategic planning and IT compliance across three companies operating in five locations. Ken is a graduate of the University of Washington with a BA in Business Administration with dual concentrations in finance and information systems. Ken has a post graduate certification from the University of Washington in Management of Information Systems and completed post graduate training in Network Security. Ken enjoys volleyball, tennis, and fly-fishing in his spare time.
