Since 2018, the Future Leaders Scholarship has helped empower tomorrow’s leaders to make a positive impact on their communities, while easing the financial burden associated with higher education.

This year, we will provide five new students each with a $5,000 fall term tuition reimbursement, reflecting our commitment to provide $100,000 in financial support to 20 students over four years. Students who wish to apply should demonstrate a passion for enhancing their communities, be involved in meaningful extracurricular activities, and possess a strong entrepreneurial spirit. The full application, eligibility details, policies and FAQ are available on our scholarship page.

The deadline to submit applications is Wednesday, April 1, 2020. All graduating high school seniors and current undergraduate college students enrolled full-time in an accredited two or four-year technical college or university are eligible to apply.

“The Future Leaders Scholarship is allowing me to follow my dreams of a career in finance, which is something I’ve aspired towards since I was a child,” said Muskaan Agarwal, a 2019-20 scholarship recipient and student at UC Berkeley. “I’ve always dreamed of following in my father’s footsteps of attending UC Berkeley and using that opportunity to make a positive impact in the world. Because of this scholarship, I’m one step closer to achieving my goals.”

If you know a student in Washington, Oregon or California who might benefit from our scholarship, please share this information and encourage them to apply. Please note that previous recipients, along with Freestone employees, partners and their families, are not eligible to apply.

Our five recipients in 2019 were remarkable students whose outstanding community involvement, aptitude and entrepreneurial skills set them apart from hundreds of highly qualified applicants. We look forward to learning about and meeting this year’s candidates.
