O'Neal joins Freestone with over 30 years of experience helping teams facilitate growth through his innovative approach. He challenges organizations to consider new strategies, structures and processes that deliver value for the company and the existing clients they serve.
"David's addition to the Freestone team will force us to re-examine the client experience and encourage us to review the services we provide. Our primary focus is our clients and we will continue to find ways to improve their experience at Freestone", said Erik Morgan, Senior Partner at Freestone Capital Management.
O’Neal joins Freestone after holding executive leadership roles within the wealth management, technology and transportation logistics industries in the Northwest and beyond
“David’s proven experience precedes him. He is a dynamic leader who injects passion into his teams and isn’t afraid to challenge the status quo to drive results. His approach has helped his teams win trust, gain new clients and exceed growth objectives for all the organizations he’s served. We’re looking forward to his leadership at Freestone,” said Gary Furukawa, Freestone Capital Management Founder and Chief Investment Officer.
O'Neal most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer at a North Carolina wealth management firm, where he oversaw sales, service and marketing operations. Previously, he served as the Vice President of Business Development at a Seattle-based wealth management firm, where he drove significant increases in the firm’s assets under management, revenue and client growth.
“Joining the partners at Freestone in helping them to grow the organization is a natural and exciting fit for me. I’m looking forward to working with this talented team to further Freestone’s position as one of the premier wealth management firms in the country,” O’Neal said.
O’Neal also contributes his time and expertise to his community, and serves as a board member and past-President of Seattle’s Ballard Foodbank, where he’s volunteered for the past decade.
He holds an MBA from University of Washington’s Michael G. Foster School of Business, and earned his undergraduate degree from Whitman College.
