We believe that education provides students with the tools to make a difference in their communities and beyond. That’s why we’re investing in an annual scholarship to empower tomorrow’s leaders to achieve their dreams, while easing the financial burden associated with receiving a higher education.

This year, our scholarship will provide five students with a $5,000 fall quarter tuition reimbursement, totaling $25,000 in financial support for the 2018-19 school year. Over the next four years, we will assist 20 college students, making a total commitment of $100,000 to investing in our future leaders.

“We hope our scholarship program helps to provide greater access to higher education, enabling more students to achieve their goals and make an impact on their communities,” said senior partner Erik Morgan.

The application is now live on our scholarship page: /form/freestone-future-leaders-scholarship. All graduating high school seniors, or current undergraduate college students enrolled in an accredited two-year, four-year, technical college or university are eligible to apply.

The deadline to submit applications is May 23, 2018.

We are calling all students who are committed to improving their communities, involved in meaningful extracurricular activities, and who possess an entrepreneurial spirit to apply. The full application, eligibility details, policies and FAQ are available on our scholarship page.

In the words of our founder Gary Furukawa: “we are committed to investing in our next generation of leaders and look forward to meeting students across the region who are pushing boundaries to harness their passions to become problem solvers, innovators and leaders within their communities and beyond.”

If you know a student in Washington, Oregon or California who might benefit from our scholarship, please share this blog post and encourage them to apply. Please note that clients and partners of Freestone, and their families, are not eligible.

Together we can help make a difference in the lives of our future leaders!
