Business Analyst - Strategic Initiatives - Seattle, WA

Freestone is searching for qualified candidates to join our team as a Business Analyst supporting strategic initiatives that will span the following critical areas of the firm:  Client Advisory, Finance, Operations and Technology.  Successful candidates for this position will have a demonstrated track record of educational and professional achievement, strong people skills and a passion for analysis and introducing transformational solutions that provide immediate impact to the business. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary analyst for the defined subset of Freestone’s strategic initiatives, which are defined on an annual basis.  Sample recently completed initiatives include:

    • Design and execution of a centralized data mart and SharePoint-based corporate dashboard infrastructure

    • Design, testing & implementation & implement a proprietary multi-module billing and profitability application

    • Redesign, documentation and testing of Freestone’s detailed Business Continuity Program

    • Creation and implementation of best practices for the firm’s CRM and Portfolio Accounting systems

    • Aggregate performance analysis associated with critical business relationships

  • Direct support of Freestone’s Business Development activities including:

    • The aggregation and analysis of quarterly performance data associated with Freestone’s core referral relationships

    • Tracking and assignment of inbound prospects

  • Domain expert for Freestone’s CRM and Billing solutions, including troubleshooting, training & rollout of best practices

  • Serve as the primary analyst for the continued buildout of Freestone’s internal dashboard infrastructure

  • Perform operational reviews across Freestone’s critical areas to introduce efficiency and repeatability

  • Perform ROI and financial forecasting analysis for new Freestone business opportunities

  • Directly manage important firm initiatives to successful and timely execution

  • General support of Freestone’s Technology operations and initiatives


  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or business management preferred; other degrees will be considered

  • 2+ years of experience in project management or business analysis/consulting preferred, with preference given to candidates who also have financial services industry experience
