Director - Fund Accounting - Seattle, WA

We are searching for qualified candidates to join our Accounting Team. The position is located in our Seattle office and reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer. Successful candidates for the position will have a strong accounting background, experience in the financial services industry and a can-do attitude with a willingness to roll up their sleeves and excel in a collegial, fast-paced environment. Position can be full time or part time; flexible work arrangements considered.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and/or review financial statements and oversee annual audits in accordance with the Investment Company Audit Guide

  • Prepare and/or review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for active and closed-end funds

  • Review annual waterfall calculations prepared by administrator

  • Liaise with external administrator, outside accounting firms and financial institutions

  • Review, interpret and implement governing fund agreements

  • Assist with review of annual valuations

  • Prepare and/or review annual and quarterly compliance filings

  • Assist with monthly close of corporate financial reporting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting with 5+ years of experience

  • CPA designation, public accounting or financial services industry experience preferred

  • Understanding of GAAP and financial statements prepared in accordance with the Investment Company Audit Guide

  • Experience with Partnership/LLC entity structures

  • Solid understanding of investment performance measurements and statistics

  • Experience with wide range of securities and asset classes (equities, fixed income, hedge funds, real estate private equity, CLO’s)

  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and changing priorities
