We have a significant number of established clients in Oregon and are searching for a Senior Client Advisor to service and expand existing relationships, manage our established referral networks and mentor our Oregon advisors and staff.  As the Senior Client Advisor in our Portland office, this is your opportunity to join an established, dynamic and growing firm in an area where you can make an immediate cultural and strategic impact.  Successful candidates for this position will have a demonstrated track record of excelling professionally, building a committed group of high net worth clients and serving that client base passionately. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Assume primary advisor responsibilities for an existing group of Oregon clients

  • Develop and maintain informed client relationships spanning documentation of client goals and objectives,  investment analysis, financial planning, tax concerns, charitable and estate planning, and ancillary services

  • Conduct quarterly client meetings to review and present quarterly investment results, evaluate new opportunities, and adjust client objectives

  • Coordinate with clients’ outside advisors, including CPA and attorneys, to help facilitate a client’s holistic wealth plan

  • Manage existing and develop new referral relationships to source new clients

  • Collaborate with Freestone’s senior management to establish and implement a strategic business development plan for Oregon to identify and attain new clients

  • Develop and mentor Oregon advisor and client service personnel to optimize delivery and achieve staff empowerment 


  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher

  • CFP or other industry designation strongly preferred

  • Minimum 5-8 years in an investment management and/or financial advisory services role with demonstrated ability to secure and manage client relationships

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Financial planning/wealth management acumen, judgment and experience

  • Excellent communication, listening, and relationship building skills

  • Proactive, self-motivated approach
