This critical role will be more than the in-house estate planning experts that work for many Registered Investment Advisors. We are seeking a teammate who desires to be imbedded in the ongoing client service team responsible for focusing on what truly matters to our most wealthy and sophisticated clients. As a member of that team, you will provide your clients with expert knowledge and consultation on a variety of estate, gift and charitable planning strategies in addition to family and multi generation education.
As a key member of our client service team, you will have an opportunity to work with prospective clients and help them understand why planning is so important and how Freestone can help. This will include a chance to create planning content and collaborate with the Director of Financial Planning to provide solutions for clients with complex planning needs, allowing them to focus on what truly matters.

Culture: You will be a senior member of the Freestone team expected to be a cultural evangelist.
Client Service Team: As a member of the client service team, you are responsible for the success and happiness of our largest and most sophisticated clients. Including but not limited to, review of existing estate plans as necessary and/or making recommendations for additional planning; advising and modeling sophisticated wealth transfer strategies.
Prospective Clients: As a member of the client service team, assist in helping prospective clients understand why they should hire Freestone. Including but not limited to, review of existing estate plans as necessary and/or making recommendations for additional planning; advising and modeling sophisticated wealth transfer strategies.
Content: Produce internal and external content across multiple platforms to share the power of planning.
Responsibilities in Action:
Culture: Conceive, execute and attend all cultural events. Get the team excited about Freestone, planning and working with you.
Client Service: Do whatever is necessary to Architect, implement and maintain estate plans in collaboration with client’s outside tax and legal advisors.
Prospective Clients: Highlight planning opportunities for clients based on their specific needs. Produce materials that Freestone can use in their prospecting to close business.
Content: Help us become a household name for our planning capabilities everywhere we have clients. You will be responsible maintaining a COI network, attending seminars, creating thought leadership pieces and content to be determined.
Juris Doctorate. LLM in taxation preferred.
5-10 years practicing Trust & Estate law. Focus on transfer tax planning preferred.
Demonstrated ability to effectively and efficiently communicate directly with clients on complex matters across a variety of mediums.
Gravitas needed to create a sense of urgency to follow our recommendations.
