Kim joined Freestone in 1999 as one of the firm’s five original members. She initially served as Freestone’s Operations Manager and Compliance Officer before transitioning back to the client side to pursue her passion for building relationships. Kim provides wealth management advice and service to some of the firm’s most affluent families. She works closely with her clients’ CPAs and attorneys to form a holistic approach to their wealth management needs.
Kim began her career in the investment industry in 1992 at Solomon Smith Barney. She served in supervisory roles in Operations and Compliance before joining Gary Furukawa’s team as a Portfolio Management Associate.
Kim earned a BA in Criminal Justice from Western Washington University.
In her spare time, Kim enjoys watching her boys at their various sporting events. She is in charge of Club Operations for the Skyline Youth Football Association in Sammamish. True to her Criminal Justice degree, Kim still dreams of being a FBI or DEA agent. She enjoys reading true crime novels and listening to podcasts, specifically ones that touch on forensic investigation.
