Jim is the Managing Director of the firm’s client advisor and business development teams, overseeing the advisor team as they serve the wealth planning and investment needs of clients and prospective clients. Prior to joining Freestone, Jim was a founding member and Chief Operating Officer of an RIA featured on Forbes.com Top RIA Firms (2022). Jim began his career in wealth management as a Client Advisor at Merrill Lynch ascending to Managing Director and Market Executive, leading some of the firm’s largest wealth management markets.
Education
Jim earned a BA in Economics from Trinity College and the Wealth Management Leadership and Strategy Certification from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
Outside Freestone
Jim is married with two children and two labrador retrievers. He enjoys active travel adventures with his family. In his spare time, Jim is in the outdoors skiing and biking, or in the kitchen cooking for family and friends.
